An admirable conversion of a XIX century windmill and
adjacent former worker's house in a peaceful location.
Set on the top of a small hill with peaceful
surroundings, both units were carefully restored to
provide comfortable holiday accommodation.
During the restoration works, the original buildings
were preserved in order to maintain the original
atmosphere. Nevertheless, both the mill and the cottage
are tastefully decorated, displaying a range of
carefully chosen furnishings.
The beautiful town of Odemira, set on the banks of the
Mira river, is a short drive away. Also nearby is the
Barragem de Santa Clara, a huge dam where water sports
are very popular.
The village of Vila Nova de Milfontes is set at the
mouth of the river, whose estuary provides long golden
beaches and a calm sea. Nearby Zambujeira do Mar offers
more stunning, deserted beaches and some fine clifftop
viewpoints across the basalt cliffs to the sea.
ACCOMMODATION
Tower of the mill
The tower of the mill comprises a small living
room on the ground floor and a spiral staircase leading
to a bedroom with a double bed and a toilet.
Adjacent cottage
Double bedroom. Living / dining room with table
seating up to 6 people, comfortable seating, a sofa bed
sleeping one adult or two children and open fireplace.
Shower room. Fully fitted small kitchen.
EXTERIOR
Well maintained garden with delightful views
over the fields and oak trees. Covered barbecue terrace
with table ideal for outdoor dining. The swimming pool
is 8 metres long and 4 metres wide. The depth is 1.80
