The nearest village is about 3 kms. away. There you can
shop for fresh bread and other grocery items. A couple
of restaurants and cafes can also be found in the
village.
Guests of this villa can experience the magnificent
history of nearby intriguing places such as Sever do
Vouga. This town has a several thousand years history as
one can appreciate through the immemorial marks left
behind by the primitive people that once crossed these
rocky mountains. A huge carved stone (whose origin dates
back to the Age of Bronze) is the popularly known rock
formation, Forno dos Moiros. There are also important
sites of the megalithic architecture.
In the Vouga River (15 minute walk away) it is possible
to practise rowing or canoeing and enjoy the dreamlike
scenery. Other options are small fluvial beaches. Aveiro
- often described as "the Venice of Portugal", is about
a 30 minute drive away. The town makes a good base to
explore the nearby beautiful unspoilt golden sandy
beaches. Montebelo golf course (18 holes) is about a 45
minute drive from this property.
