Set in an elevated position and surrounded by large grounds, this typical "Minhota" granite stone house is the result of a carefully renovation project finished in May 2010. A unique retreat which blends superb views and unspoilt landscape with all the comfort while being in the perfect position to explore the countryside and delightful roman town of Ponte de Lima.

The interior has been comfortably furnished with a range of carefully chosen furnishings, creating a lovely atmosphere. The living room opens onto the pool area and barbecue terrace with table and chairs perfect for al-fresco meals.

For a taste of the Minho life, you must visit the oldest village in Portugal - Ponte de Lima - with it's XI century roman bridge, main square, cathedral, coffee bars, superb restaurants and shops, Peneda Geres National Park (35 minutes away), Viana do Castelo historic centre and stunning sandy beaches (25 minutes away), Barcelos market town (30 minutes away), Braga and Guimaraes World Heritage Site (both within a 40 minute drive). Activities such as horseback riding, golf, water sports, walking, wine tasting tours or even massage treatment at the villa are always available for the guests. There are many excellent restaurants within easy reach as well as shops.

ACCOMMODATION

Ground floor: Double bedroom with ensuite shower room.

Upper floor: Fully fitted open plan kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge / freezer, stove, oven, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Living / dining area with a table seating up to 10 people, comfortable sofas, satellite TV, DVD player and closed fireplace. Guest toilet. Doors opening onto the pool terrace (ideal for alfresco dining). Two bedrooms (each with 2 twin beds and ensuite shower room).

Cottage: Double bedroom with ensuite shower room and a kitchenette ideal to prepare light meals.

EXTERIOR
Excellent sun terrace with great views and outdoor table for alfresco dining. Spacious garden with lawn and various fruit trees. Barbecue area and car parking. The swimming pool is 8.5 metres long and 4 metres wide. The depth is from 0.60 to 1.7 metres.
