in the village is about 2,000 metres away. Caminha, with
its art treasures, delightful 15th and 16th century
buildings around the main square and excellent
restaurants is less than 4 miles away.
Day trip possibilities from Caminha to Spain are endless
and enticing. A daily ferry-boat links the two banks of
the Minho river. The fine sandy beaches of Moledo and
Afife are less than a 10 minute drive away - there is a
train station in Caminha which makes it very easy to
visit the above beaches (and surrounding towns) without
having to manage the drive in and parking.
Various sports activities including horse riding, water
rafting and canoeing are available in this region. An
excellent
18 hole golf course is set on is set on a hillside
just outside the delightful roman town of Ponte de Lima
which is about a 40 minute drive away.
