Now we are back in Sweden after a great stay in Portugal and the villa. Great place. The day before we left we went for an excursion and arrived a bit later than expected (late in the evening). We had a few busy hours cleaning up and packing. We found out later that we forgot to pick-up the spoons the kids threw in the pool (apparently, they used them to dive for). Sorry for that. " I’m writing to let you know how much we enjoyed our first visit to Portugal. Villa 222 exceeded all our expectations and we had a wonderful time there. We all enjoyed the pool and the lovely gardens - picking fresh lemons and passion fruit was a new experience for all of us. Vilar do Mouros was an ideal location, rural but not isolated, and close to Caminha and the coast. We were very glad of your clear directions as we would never have found the villa otherwise. We were surprised that so few British people have discovered this area. It’s a great holiday destination and the Portuguese have been successfully keeping it to themselves! The beaches, mountains and rivers are amazing with so much to explore. One of the highlights was Viana do Castelo. We were fortunate to see the Festa de Nossa Senhora da Agonia there which was truly spectacular, culminating in one of the best fireworks displays we have ever seen. I would definitely recommend the villa and its locality to others. We will return one day!

"We had a lovely time at the windmill. The sense of isolation and quietness justified the driving involved in going to the nearby beaches or out for dinner in the many restaurants of VN Milfontes, Zambujeira, Azenhas do mar, etc. Both the tower of the mill and the adjacent cottage were in impeccable condition and so was the outside area. The pool was suitably sized and although I prefer the sea, I swam in it every day. When at home we always had meals outside and made good use of the available barbeque." "We had a very enjoyable and lazy two weeks at the villa. The villa was very well appointed and finished to a high standard as your website indicated. The pool was perfect for us being effectively constant depth. Neither of us are particularly confident swimmers so this did allow us to make full use of the pool. The maid service was very friendly and efficient and exactly at the right level for this type of accomodation.  The only problem we had with the pool pump being noisy due to the pool level falling was fixed very quickly and effectively. This type of customer service is commendable. We appreciated the personal touch of being met at Porto airport and being greeted by yourself and the owner at the villa. We've rented many villas in several countries and we've never received that level of personal attention before. Your website is one of the best I've seen. It's very clear and easy to use and the booking process seemed pretty straightforward and not too formal.  I would have no hesitation in recommending your organisation to friends and colleagues. Villa 505 & villa 307
"You will perhaps recall that during our stay in Portugal we rented two properties namely villas #505 and #307. Starting with the first, the instructions to get there were excellent - we got there without any trouble at all. The Villa is true to its advert on the site. Most facilities were all in good working order and the place was found very clean. On reporting found damage (eg broken shutter) the owner sent a handyman the following day to fix it when we were out. We found that very efficient. The variety of TV channels available could perhaps be improved. Overall, very satisfied.

With respect to Villa 307, the instructions to get there weren't as good as the other. Admittedly, the localtion was a bit out of the way and since almost every road is cobble-stoned, it was quite a treasure-hunt:) And literally, the villa is really a treasure of a property. It has such character and evidently done up with great attention to detail by its owner. It's a place were one would want to go again. We enjoyed our stay there immensely and will remember it with nostalgia.

With respect to booking, the service was excellent from beginning to end and for this we would like to thank you personally. We will definitely recommend Portugal as a holiday destination to our family and friends and Villas and Cottages for booking the accommodation. Thanks once again and best wishes."

"We are all still on a high from the fantastic holiday we all had in Portugal, especially due to the great villa 505!! We found that it was absolutely perfect for us,not too far from the beach or restaurant.It was brilliant. I have to say that it was much more than we expected and the brief summary of the villa on the website doesn't do it justice!The maid was lovely and although we didnt need it,a mid-week clean was offered which was great.The temperature of the water in the showers was a bit hard to get right quite alot of the time but we managed. I hope this helps a little-this is only my opinion as i havent yet asked the others but i'm sure there isn't much to add. We seriously had a fantastic time, it was a perfect holiday for me as ive had quite a rough year and i cannot thank you enough.
